The Northeast Cerebrovascular Consortium 07-08 Small Grant Program

    The NorthEast Cerebrovascular Consortium (NECC) would like to thank those who submitted applications for the available 2007-2008 small grants.

    Congratulations to those applicants who were approved for a small grant from the 2007-2008 Northeast Cerebrovascular Consortium.

    The following projects were funded for this year:

    • Bowel and Bladder Management of Stroke Patients Across the Continuum of Care in the Northeast. Submitted by Sue Fowler, PhD, RN, CNRN, FAHA and Morristown Memorial Hospital & Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in New Jersey.
    • NJ Stroke Coordinator Consortium. Submitted by Laura Reilly, RN, BSN, CCRN and Atlantic Neuroscience Institute at Morristown Memorial Hospital / Atlantic Health in New Jersey.
    • It Takes a Brain to Save a Brain. Submitted by Alexandra Spencer, RN, MSN from Catholic Health System in Cheektowaga, NY.
    • Perception of Stroke Risk and Health Care Follow-up in At-Risk Women. Submitted by Jennifer Dearborn, MD, MPH student from the University of Connecticut Health Center and Louise McCullough, MD, PhD from the University of Connecticut Health Center, Department of Neurology in Farmington, Connecticut.
    • Stroke Collaborative Reaching for Excellence (SCORE) website and hospital communications database. Submitted by Laura Coe from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health's Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention and Control Program.
